Macará beat Manta FC 4-3 in Serie A, with Santiago Etchebarne scoring twice, including the winner in the 89th minute. Manta twice pulled level after Macará had gone ahead, but Macará had the final word.
Agustin Campana opened the scoring for Macará in the 20th minute, and Jostin Alman equalised for Manta before half-time. Carlos Caicedo was sent off in the 54th minute after a second yellow, and Jean Carlos Blanco put Manta ahead a minute later; Martín Tello drew Macará level in the 61st. Etchebarne restored Macará's lead in the 80th, Ángel Ledesma levelled again in the 85th, and Etchebarne struck for a second time four minutes later.
Macará had the greater share of the play, with 53% possession, 19 shots to Manta's 12 and nine attempts on target to five. Manta were efficient with their big chances, scoring all three, while Macará took three of five, but Etchebarne's brace was the difference.
