PRIVACY NOTICE

Welcome to Checklive's privacy notice. This privacy notice was last updated on 08.10.2026.

Important Information and Who We Are

Checklive is a privately managed website, designed to provide live scores, game predictions, and related sports analytics. This privacy notice applies to all visitors and users of Checklive. As the owner and operator of Checklive, I am committed to protecting the privacy of our users. References to 'we', 'us', or 'our' in this privacy notice refer to myself as the sole manager and operator of Checklive, dedicated to offering accurate, timely, and insightful sports information.

Purpose of This Privacy Notice

This privacy notice explains how Checklive collects, uses, discloses, and processes your personal information when you use our website and app: what data we gather, why, how long we keep it, and what rights you have. For any queries, please use the contact details below.

Third-Party Links

Our website may include links to third-party websites, plug-ins, and applications. Clicking on those links or enabling those connections may allow third parties to collect or share data about you. We do not control these third-party websites and are not responsible for their privacy statements or practices. We encourage you to read the privacy notice of every website you visit.

Information We Collect About You

  1. Account data: your name, email address and password (stored only in hashed form) when you register, sign in with Google, or subscribe to our newsletter; the IP address from which the account was created; and the teams, leagues and matches you add to your favourites.
  2. Activity data: how you use the site — pages and sections you open, matches you view, what you search for and which result you choose, what you add to or remove from favourites, which buttons and blocks you use, and how you arrived (for example from a search engine or a social network). It is linked to a random identifier stored in your browser.
  3. Device data: the type of device (phone, tablet or computer), operating system and browser family. We do not keep the full technical browser string.
  4. Location data: the country you are visiting from, derived from your connection. In our activity records we keep only a one-way hashed form of your IP address, never the address itself.
  5. Cookies and similar technologies: we use cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your settings and favourites, and measure how the site is used, including through analytics services.

We do not collect sensitive personal information or data about criminal convictions or offenses. Automated traffic (search engine crawlers and other bots) is recorded separately and is not used to build profiles.

Your Profile and Personalisation (Registered Users)

When you are signed in on checklive.com, we link the activity data of your browser to your account. This includes activity from the same browser during the 90 days before you signed in. From this we build a profile: when you visit, which sections you use, which teams and leagues you follow, view or search for, your device, your country and how you first found us. We use the profile to understand what is useful to you, to improve CheckLive and to personalise content and offers, including CheckLive Pro.

We do this on the basis of our legitimate interest in running and improving the service. The profile does not lead to decisions with legal or similarly significant effects for you, and we never sell it. You can object at any time by writing to info@checklive.com: we will stop linking your activity to your account and delete your profile and activity history.

Emails

We send newsletters and offers only if you have agreed to receive them, and every such email lets you unsubscribe. Service emails — confirming your account, resetting your password or informing you about important changes to this notice — are sent to all registered users.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell or rent your data to third parties. We may share your data only in the following situations:

  • Service Providers: companies that host and deliver our website, provide analytics or send our emails, acting on our instructions.
  • Legal Requirements: if required by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or a government agency).
  • Business Transfers: if Checklive is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your personal data may be transferred.

Any sharing is limited to what is necessary and complies with data protection laws.

Data Security and Storage

We use technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or of electronic storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Our servers are located in the European Union.

How Long We Keep Your Data

  • Activity records: 90 days; records of automated traffic — 3 days.
  • Daily activity history of registered users: 13 months.
  • Profile: as long as your account exists.
  • Account data: until you delete your account (see below).

After these periods the data is deleted or kept only as statistics that no longer identify you.

Deleting Your Account

You can delete your account at any time with the "Delete account" button on your account page or in our app. Within 30 days we permanently erase your name, email address, password, photo, IP address, favourites, linked devices, profile and the activity history linked only to you. Content you have published publicly (for example comments or forecasts) remains on the site without your name and is shown as "Deleted". Once your data has been erased, you can register again with the same email address.

User Rights and Choices

As a user of Checklive, you have certain rights regarding your personal information:

  1. Access: you can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, including your profile.
  2. Correction: you can ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  3. Deletion: you can delete your account yourself (see above) or ask us to delete your data, subject to legal exceptions.
  4. Objection and Restriction: you can object to profiling and personalisation or ask us to restrict processing.
  5. Data Portability: where applicable, you can request your data in a commonly used format.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at info@checklive.com. We will respond in accordance with applicable data protection laws. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Changes to the Privacy Notice

We may update this notice from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with an updated date and take effect when posted. If we make significant changes, we will notify registered users by email or by a prominent notice on our website.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Privacy Notice and any disputes arising out of or related to it shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Checklive is operated, without giving effect to any choice or conflict of law provision or rule. Any legal suit, action, or proceeding arising out of, or related to, this Privacy Notice shall be instituted exclusively in the courts of that jurisdiction, although we retain the right to bring any suit, action, or proceeding against you for breach of this Privacy Notice in your country of residence or any other relevant country. Nothing in this section limits the rights you have under the data protection laws of your country.
