Gnistan edged Ilves 3-2 in a topsy-turvy Veikkausliiga meeting, recovering from 1-2 down to snatch the points with Bogdan Milovanov's 81st-minute winner. The home side had to dig deep after Sauli Väisänen was sent off on 56 minutes for a second bookable offence.
Väisänen put Gnistan ahead on 4 minutes, but Ilves turned it around with Teemu Hytönen's 14th-minute equaliser and Anton Popovitch's strike on 41. Adeleke Akinyemi levelled on 45 minutes from Gabriel Europaeus's assist, and Milovanov struck again at 81 to seal the win.
The decisive moment was Väisänen's red card, which left Gnistan a man down for the final half-hour, yet they still found a winner through Milovanov. Ilves had led and will wonder how they left with nothing.
