Ilves claimed a convincing 3-1 victory away to TPS, scoring twice before half-time and adding a third in the second half despite being reduced to ten men. Teemu Hytönen led the visitors' attack with a brace.
Hytönen opened the scoring in the 34th minute from Oliver Pettersson's assist. TPS drew level eight minutes later through Matej Hradecky, but the home side's joy was short-lived as Pettersson struck in first‑half stoppage time (45') to restore Ilves' lead. Hytönen sealed the win in the 69th minute, rounding off a fast break set up by Jardell Kanga.
Ilves' task was made harder when Oscar Häggström received a second yellow card in the 73rd minute, reducing them to ten players, but they held on comfortably. The win takes Ilves up the table, while TPS are left to rue a costly spell just before the interval.
