TPS beat VPS 3-1 in the Veikkausliiga after taking control with two goals in the 45th minute. Timo Zaal and Albijon Muzaci both scored before half-time to put the visitors 2-0 up.
VPS responded when Xavier Odhiambo converted Henri Salomaa's assist on 76 minutes to make it 1-2. Four minutes later Nils Veinberg scored from Miika Kauppila's pass to restore TPS's two-goal lead and settle the match.
The quick double before the break was the decisive moment, leaving VPS to chase the game. TPS ended with ten men after Emmanuel Okereke was shown a second yellow in the 88th minute, but the result was already secure.
