Portland Timbers II snatched a late comeback win away to Saint Louis City SC 2, scoring twice in the final five minutes after trailing for most of the second half.
Owen Jorgensen put the hosts ahead in the 69th minute from a Zach Zengue assist. Connor Ferguson equalised for Portland in the 86th minute, set up by Lucas Hernandez-Kim, before grabbing his second of the game in the 90th minute to complete the turnaround.
Despite having less of the ball and creating fewer overall chances — Saint Louis had 52% possession and 1.26 xG to Portland's 0.65 — the visitors were clinical when it mattered. Ferguson's brace decided the match, with the Portland goalkeeper making three saves to preserve the lead after the winner.
