Pittsburgh Riverhounds won 3-1 against Louisville City FC, powered by a quickfire hat-trick from Trevor Amann just after half-time. The hosts struck three times in four minutes to take control of the USL Championship contest.
Amann opened the scoring in the 47th minute from Jackson Walti's assist, then doubled the lead a minute later with Perrin Barnes providing the pass. He completed his hat-trick in the 50th minute, this time Robbie Mertz setting him up. Louisville pulled one back through Jansen Wilson in the 68th minute but could not find a way back.
Louisville had more of the ball with 55% possession and 12 total shots to Pittsburgh's 10, but the Riverhounds were more clinical, putting six shots on target to Louisville's three. Amann's ruthless finishing proved to be the decisive difference.
