Cooks Hill United secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Lambton Jaffas in the NPL Northern New South Wales. The only goal of the match came in the 55th minute, enough to separate the sides.
The decisive moment arrived five minutes after half-time when Cooks Hill United scored from a move that ended with the ball in the net. Lambton Jaffas pushed for an equaliser but were kept at bay, with a yellow card shown in the 73rd minute for a home player.
Despite having more shots on target – seven to five – Lambton Jaffas could not find a way past the home defence. Cooks Hill United, meanwhile, were efficient in attack, taking one of their chances to claim all three points.
