Gnistan took the three points with a 4-2 win over IFK Mariehamn in a lively Veikkausliiga contest. Adeleke Akinyemi's double was the difference, though Mariehamn twice pulled within a goal only for Danny Pérez to seal it late.
Saku Ylätupa opened the scoring in the sixth minute, and Akinyemi doubled the lead just after the break. Adam Stroud replied quickly for Mariehamn, but Akinyemi struck again in the 71st minute to restore the two-goal cushion. Wille Nuñez made it 3-2 with 11 minutes left, setting up a tense finish until Pérez added a fourth in the 90th minute.
Akinyemi's brace was the standout performance, and Gnistan's ability to respond each time Mariehamn threatened proved crucial. Tuomas Koivisto was booked in stoppage time, but it did little to dampen the hosts' celebrations.
