El Paso Locomotive FC beat Loudoun United FC 4-1 in the USL Championship, with Rubio Rubin's three goals the difference. The home side had the edge in possession and chances, registering 20 shots to Loudoun's seven.
Rubin opened the scoring after five minutes, but Abdellatif Aboukoura levelled for Loudoun in the 17th minute. El Paso reasserted control before the break: Rubin made it 2-1 in the 30th minute and 3-1 ten minutes later, and Carl Fred Sainté added a fourth in the 90th minute after Gabriel Torres set him up. Alex Méndez and Arturo Ortiz were booked in the second half.
El Paso's dominance was clear in the numbers: 10 shots on target to Loudoun's two, 53% possession, and 374 accurate passes. The Loudoun goalkeeper made six saves to keep the score down, but Rubin's treble proved decisive.
