El Paso Locomotive FC thrashed San Antonio FC 3-0 in the USL Championship, with all three goals arriving in the first half. Alex Méndez scored twice and Jimmy Farkarlun added the third to give the visitors a comfortable victory.
Méndez put El Paso ahead in the 20th minute from Amando Moreno's assist, then made it 2-0 with an individual effort in the 39th. Moreno set up Farkarlun for the third in the 44th minute, effectively ending the contest before the break.
San Antonio dominated possession with 65% and had 12 shots, yet managed only three on target. El Paso, with 35% of the ball, put seven of their ten attempts on target, and Méndez's brace proved decisive.
