TOP Oss beat Jong FC Utrecht 2-1 in the Eerste Divisie. Marcelencio Esajas put them in front and then set up Maurilio de Lannoy's second, and although Jerayno Hunte replied in the 88th minute, TOP Oss held on for the win.
Esajas scored from Mert Erkan's assist on 15 minutes and turned provider for De Lannoy on 65. Utrecht enjoyed more of the ball but could not find a way through until Hunte's unassisted strike late on.
The hosts had 45% possession and 12 shots to Utrecht's 16, yet they were more clinical, scoring from two of their three big chances to one from two. Each side managed five shots on target; the difference was that TOP Oss took theirs.
