Gary RedknappGary RedknappFootball AnalystMATCH REPORT
ŠK Slovan Bratislava and Saburtalo Tbilisi played out a 1-1 draw in the UEFA Champions League second qualifying round. The home side took the lead just before half-time, but Saburtalo hit back early in the second half to share the spoils.
Mykola Kukharevych put Slovan ahead in the 44th minute with a goal that gave them a narrow advantage at the break. However, Nika Sikharulashvili equalised for Saburtalo six minutes after the restart, scoring in the 51st minute to make it 1-1.
Neither side could find a winner after that, with several bookings breaking up play – Sandro Cruz, César Blackman, Zviad Natchkebia, Lucas Cafe and Nikolaz Dadian all went into the referee's book. The draw leaves the tie finely balanced ahead of the second leg.
