Skellefteå AIK beat HC Davos 6-2 in regulation, breaking the game open with a two-goal middle period and then closing with three more in the third. After a 1-1 first, the Swedes scored five of the last six goals.
Andreas Johnson opened it in the seventh minute off a Pontus Johansson feed, and Brendan Lemieux answered at 17 with Adam Tambellini assisting for 1-1. The turning point came inside 60 seconds of the second period: Johnson again at 28 from Jonathan Pudas, then Mikkel Aagaard at 29 for 3-1. Viggo Nordlund's unassisted goal at 44 made it 4-1, and after Filip Zadina cut it to 4-2 at 52, Pudas scored at 54 and 56.
Pudas finished with two goals and an assist, Johnson with two goals, and Oscar Lindberg set up both the 3-1 and the 5-2. Davos' only period they didn't lose was the first; they were outscored 5-1 over the last two.
