SC Villa beat Uganda Revenue Authority 1-0 in the Premier League, sealing the points with a first-half goal from Reagan Mpande. It was a result that went against the run of play, with URA dominating possession and creating more chances over the 90 minutes.
Mpande put Villa ahead in the 24th minute after Frank Ssebuufu set him up, making it 0-1. From there, Villa sat behind the ball and kept URA at bay, even as the home side pushed forward relentlessly.
URA had 70% possession, won 11 corners and totalled 11 shots to Villa's 7, but none of their five efforts on target could beat the Villa goalkeeper. Villa made fewer chances count, and Mpande's strike was enough to take the points.
