NK Istra 1961 claimed a 3-0 win over NK Slaven Belupo in 1. HNL, with the contest effectively settled early when Filip Kutlesa was sent off after three minutes. The hosts made their numerical advantage count with two first-half goals and added a third after the interval.
Nik Škafar Žužić put Istra ahead on 16 minutes from Ivan Šaranić's assist. Hamza Jaganjac doubled the lead in the 35th minute, again set up by Šaranić, then completed his brace on 56 minutes with Emil Frederiksen supplying the pass.
Jaganjac's two goals made him the standout performer, but Istra's control was comprehensive: 62% possession, 20 shots to Slaven Belupo's seven and an expected-goals figure of 2.70 against 0.30. The home side never looked like letting the points slip.
