Bournemouth U21 beat Middlesbrough U21 3-1 in Premier League 2. Two early goals set the tone, and although Middlesbrough pulled one back after the break, a late third made the result safe.
Harold William finished from Ethan Sills' pass after three minutes, and Jonny Day doubled the lead in the 13th. Cruz Ibeh gave Middlesbrough hope with a 51st-minute goal, but Dane Ndimukum's 90th-minute strike sealed it for the hosts.
Middlesbrough had more of the ball, with 56% possession, but Bournemouth were far more clinical, registering ten shots on target to their four. Eugene Nyarko's red card on 59 minutes only added to Middlesbrough's troubles.
