Troyes left Lorient with a 2-1 win despite giving up most of the possession. The visitors took their chances early and then held on as Lorient pushed for an equaliser.
Renaud Ripart opened the scoring in the 29th minute, and Lucas Maronnier doubled the lead eight minutes later. Jean-Victor Makengo pulled one back for Lorient in the 51st minute, but they could not find a second goal.
Lorient dominated the ball with 67% possession and had 15 shots to Troyes' 11, yet Troyes were far more clinical. The visitors scored from two big chances and posted a higher expected-goals total, while Lorient missed their one big chance.
