LA Galaxy II took the points with a 2-0 away win over Houston Dynamo 2 in MLS Next Pro. Two goals either side of half-time settled it, with Houston unable to respond despite seeing plenty of the ball.
Gabriel Arnold put the visitors ahead in the 43rd minute, and Luis Müller doubled the lead five minutes after the restart, Vicente Garcia providing the assist. Houston pressed for a way back but never found the net.
The finishing edge told: both sides managed 13 shots, but LA Galaxy II put four on target to Houston's two. Houston had 56% possession and won 12 corners, yet their expected-goals total of 1.11 was lower than the visitors' 1.51.
