Santos beat Internacional 3-2 in a five-goal Brasileiro Série A encounter. Gabriel Barbosa scored twice in the opening half hour and Christian Oliva added a third before the break, giving Santos a lead that proved enough despite a late Internacional response.
Barbosa opened the scoring in the eighth minute and made it 2-0 in the 29th. Oliva extended the lead in the 39th minute after Benjamín Rollheiser's assist, and although Matheus Bahia was sent off in the 28th minute, Santos kept pushing forward. Braian Aguirre pulled one back for Internacional in the 48th minute and Bruno Henrique made it 3-2 in the 90th, but no equaliser followed.
Santos were far more clinical: they scored three from only five shots, while Internacional had fifteen attempts and seven corners but could only manage two goals. Santos also had 59 percent possession and their goalkeeper made four saves. It was an efficient away performance built on taking chances when they mattered.
