AC Oulu beat Ilves 1-0 in the Veikkausliiga, with a single goal from Abdoulaye Koné deciding a tight contest. The match was goalless until the 55th minute, when Koné scored from Rasmus Karjalainen's assist.
Ilves had Sauli Väisänen booked in the 43rd minute, and the game remained level at the interval. Koné broke the deadlock on 55 minutes, and although Alex Lietsa of AC Oulu was shown a yellow card in the 86th minute, the hosts held on to secure the win.
Oulu made the most of their one clear chance, taking all three points despite Ilves pushing for an equaliser. The hosts' defence stood firm to preserve the clean sheet and the narrow lead.
