FCV Farul Constanța and FC Botoșani played out a goalless draw in Liga I, despite a combined 31 shots. Farul forced six saves from the Botoșani goalkeeper but could not convert their pressure into a goal.
The game was a scrappy affair, with Narcis Cosmin Ilas, Victor Dican, Valentin Țicu and Ştefan Bodişteanu all booked inside the first 39 minutes. Lucas de Vega and Mamadou Diarra were also cautioned after the interval as the match stayed tight and goalless.
Farul had 17 shots and six on target, while Botoșani managed only one on target despite holding 52% possession. The Botoșani goalkeeper's six saves proved decisive in earning his side a point.
