Edgeworth Eagles beat Belmont Swansea United 2-0 in NPL, Northern New South Wales. Edgeworth controlled the game from start to finish, holding 71% possession and mustering seven shots on target to Belmont's one. The deadlock was not broken until the 66th minute, but once ahead Edgeworth added a second and closed the game out.
Aaron Niyonkuru scored the opener on 66 minutes to make it 1-0. Eight minutes later Edgeworth doubled their lead in the 74th minute, leaving Belmont with no way back. Edgeworth's pressure was also clear from the corner count, which finished 9-2 in their favour.
The standout number was Edgeworth's attacking volume: 14 shots off target and seven on target, compared with Belmont's two off target and one on target. It was a dominant display in every department, and the 2-0 scoreline was a fair reflection of the balance of play.
