Edgeworth Eagles came from two goals down to beat Belmont Swansea United 3-2 in the NPL Northern NSW final. Two early Belmont goals left the Eagles facing a big deficit, but they responded with three second-half goals to take the trophy.
Belmont led 1-0 inside four minutes and doubled the lead in the 28th minute. Edgeworth began the comeback in the 59th, levelled in the 82nd, and completed the turnaround with the winner two minutes later.
The turnaround was backed by a commanding edge in the stats: Edgeworth had 69% possession, nine shots on target to Belmont's two, and seven corners to one.
