Club Leones Del Norte dominated possession and shots but could only manage a draw after Deportivo Cuenca took an early lead and then held on with ten men for most of the match.
Matias Klimowicz put Cuenca ahead in the 18th minute, sliding in Lucas Mancinelli’s cross. The visitors’ task became harder when Patricio Boolsen was sent off in the 29th minute, but Leones equalised before half-time through Juan Anangonó, who headed home Mauro Luque’s delivery. Despite heavy pressure in the second half, Cuenca held firm.
The home side racked up 24 shots and 69% possession, but Cuenca’s goalkeeper made seven saves to preserve a point. The visitors actually created three big chances to Leones’ one, though they missed two of them.
