Broadmeadow Magic claimed a narrow 1-0 victory over Maitland FC in NPL Northern New South Wales, despite having less of the ball. The deciding goal came early in the second half from Haris Zeb, which proved enough to secure the three points.
The only goal arrived four minutes after the break when Haris Zeb found the net, making it 1-0 to the visitors. Maitland pushed for an equaliser but could not find a way past the Broadmeadow defence, with the match's only booking coming in the 32nd minute.
Broadmeadow were far more clinical in front of goal, registering four shots on target from just 41% possession, while Maitland had just one on target despite 59% of the ball. The visitors also forced seven corner kicks to Maitland's four, underlining their attacking threat.
