Botafogo-SP snatched a 1-1 draw against Criciúma with a stoppage-time goal from Vilar, cancelling out Waguininho's 70th-minute opener. The home side had to wait until the 90th minute to turn their dominance into a point.
Criciúma took the lead through Waguininho, who finished past the keeper after Marcelo Hermes set him up. Botafogo-SP pushed for an equaliser and finally found it deep into added time, Vilar converting Kelvin's assist to make it 1-1.
The stats show Botafogo-SP dominated possession (58%) and had 16 shots to Criciúma's 10, while also posting a higher expected goals figure (1.10 to 0.30). Yet Criciúma forced more saves from the home goalkeeper with five shots on target, and looked set to win before that late sucker punch.
