Patryck pulled one back for Juventude on 55 minutes, but Wesley Pinheiro's second of the night restored the three-goal cushion. Pablo scored a consolation for the visitors in the 70th minute.
Despite enjoying 63% possession and more accurate passes, Juventude were outdone by Botafogo-SP's efficiency: the hosts had a higher expected-goals total (1.62 to 0.66) and created all three big chances of the match. Botafogo-SP's four shots on target yielded four goals.
