Ajax secured a 4-0 win away to SC Telstar in the Eredivisie. The game was level until the 37th minute, when Davy Klaassen put the visitors ahead. Three goals after the interval gave the scoreline its one-sided look.
Berghuis was central to the second-half surge. He assisted Klaassen's opener, then scored himself on 56 minutes from Oscar Gloukh's pass. Four minutes later he set up Tolu Arokodare, and Marcos Leonardo added a fourth in the 78th minute.
Ajax had the better of the chances, registering nine shots on target from 12 attempts and 58% possession. Telstar still mustered 11 shots and four on target, but converted none of their two big chances, while Ajax scored three of their four. Steven Berghuis was at the heart of the win with a goal and two assists.
