Adamstown Rosebud came from behind to beat Valentine FC 2-1 in the NPL Northern NSW. Valentine led at half-time, but Rosebud turned the game around with two goals in the opening seven minutes of the second half.
Valentine took the lead on 30 minutes and held it until the break. Rosebud levelled on 48 minutes, then grabbed the winner just four minutes later on 52. The quick double left Valentine chasing the game, and the only booking arrived on 83 minutes.
Valentine had more shots on target, six to four, and won more corners, six to four. But Rosebud had 56 per cent of the ball and made their limited chances count. It was a result built on a sharp second-half response rather than sustained pressure.
