The AI selects the most reliable market: match-winner moneyline for clear favourites, set total (over/under 21.5 or 22.5) for predictable styles, set-handicap for favourites against weaker opponents.
A note on tennis vs football validation: our 50.35% accuracy backtest is football-specific. The architecture is identical, but the strict accuracy figure has not been validated on a tennis backtest yet.

- CheckSkill: current ATP/WTA ranking, ELO rating (which accounts for opponent quality), head-to-head record vs the specific opponent, career titles, Grand Slam performance baseline.
- CheckMental: court surface preference (clay vs hard vs grass vs indoor), match-to-match scheduling (a player coming off a long Grand Slam may carry fatigue into a follow-up tournament), recent withdrawal or injury status, time zone of recent tournaments.
The Composite produces win probability for each player. The match profile determines the market:
- Heavy favourite (top-20 vs unranked, ELO gap > 200) → match-winner moneyline.
- Predictable styles (both players play defensive baseline) → set total under 21.5.
- Volatile matchup (serve-and-volley vs returner) → set total over 22.5.
- Favourite vs weaker opponent → set handicap −1.5 or −2.5.
Tennis is harder for a model than team sport because individual player form is more volatile, injury news propagates slowly, and surface effects are large. We publish tennis predictions on the same engine because the architecture is sound, but the strict accuracy figure is football-specific until we publish a tennis backtest.
