Today's NBA predictions from the CheckLive AI engine — every game on tonight's schedule, rated on moneyline, spread, totals (over/under), and player-team prop alignment. Updated hourly as starting lineups confirm.
Each prediction uses the four-pillar framework: CheckForm (offensive/defensive rating last 10 games, recent win/loss streak), CheckSkill (conference standing, star player availability, season trajectory), CheckMental (back-to-back fatigue, west/east-coast travel, rest-day advantage, playoff race), and a Composite weighted 45% / 35% / 20% with a +3 home-court bonus.
The AI selects the most reliable market per game: lopsided matchups (≥10-point projected margin) get moneyline or spread on the favourite, balanced contests get spread underdog, high-scoring projections (combined xPoints ≥ 230) get Total Over, defensive matchups get Total Under or under spread.
Our accuracy measurement is football-specific: 10,901 finished matches over 180 days, full breakdown published openly. Hockey, basketball and tennis share the same engine architecture, but we have not yet published separate measurements for them — one number does not apply to all sports, and pretending otherwise is the kind of dishonesty that defines the tipster industry.
How CheckLive Analyses NBA Games
Same engine as football and hockey, with basketball-specific inputs.
- CheckForm: offensive rating (points per 100 possessions), defensive rating, pace, three-point shooting variance, last 10 games W/L, recent ATS (against-the-spread) record.
- CheckSkill: conference and division standing, star player availability (top-3 scorers, top minute-leaders), bench depth, season trajectory.
- CheckMental: back-to-back game fatigue, schedule density (3-in-4, 4-in-5), travel direction and time-zone shift, rest-day advantage relative to opponent, playoff seeding race tightness.
The Composite (45% Skill + 35% Form + 20% Mental + 3 home-court) → logistic curve → win probability. Match profile determines the market.
Spread vs moneyline selection. On lopsided matchups (≥10-point projected margin), we surface moneyline first — the favourite is too clearly favoured for the spread to offer better value. On balanced contests with a small spread (≤4 points), we lead with spread underdog because the line typically overprices the favourite by 1–2 points relative to our model.
Totals. Combined expected points from offensive and defensive ratings → over/under classification. High-pace matchups with weak defences lean over; low-pace defensive matchups lean under.
