Zheng took the only break of the second set, moving ahead 3-1, and wrapped it up 6-3 to level the match. In the decider she broke for 1-0 and 3-0 before completing the win at 6-1.
Zheng's serving under pressure stood out: ten aces to Liutova's one, with 71% of first-serve points won. Liutova landed 75% of first serves and saved ten of fifteen break points, but Zheng's five breaks and 40 return points won proved more important.
