Yunost Minsk defeated HC Dinamo Maladzyechna 4-3 in overtime to open the Salei Cup. After falling behind midway through the game, Yunost forced the extra session with a third-period goal and then won it with the lone strike of overtime.
The teams traded goals in the first period to sit at 1-1. Dinamo took control with two goals in the second to lead 3-2, but Yunost responded in the third to tie the game and carried that momentum into the OT winner.
Yunost's 1-0 edge in both the third period and overtime flipped a one-goal deficit into a win. The home side finished with four goals, while Dinamo was kept off the board after the second-period flurry.
