Go Ahead Eagles recovered from an early goal down to beat Willem II 4-1 in the Eredivisie. Devin Haen put the visitors ahead in the 13th minute, but Go Ahead were level before half-time and then ran away with the game in the second half.
Søren Tengstedt's 30th-minute equaliser set the platform, before Melle Meulensteen turned the tie around in the 61st minute. Erik Flataker Hovden made it 3-1 two minutes later, and Julius Dirksen added a fourth on 69. Willem II offered little after the break, managing just one shot on target in the whole match.
The scoreline reflected the balance of play: Go Ahead held 69 per cent possession and racked up 19 shots, while limiting the visitors to a single effort on target. Their 507 accurate passes dwarfed Willem II's 197, and an expected-goals figure of 2.35 showed the chances they created. It was a thoroughly controlled victory after that early scare.
