Vissel Kobe beat Avispa Fukuoka 1-0 in the J.League, the only goal scored by Yuya Osako in the 23rd minute. Kobe took the lead early and then saw the game out without conceding an equaliser.
Osako finished from Thuler's assist to make it 0-1, and that remained the final score. Masato Shigemi was booked on 34 minutes, and Yota Maejima and Thuler were both cautioned within a minute of each other after the break.
Avispa had more shots overall, 11 to 7, and a big chance that they missed, while Kobe scored their one big chance. Kobe also shaded possession, 54% to 46%, and completed 281 passes to Avispa's 245, with the home side committing 22 fouls to Kobe's five.
