Kiekko-Espoo handled TPS Turku 4-2 in regulation, and the middle period did all of the work. After a scoreless opening 20 minutes, the hosts scored three times in the second and were never caught.
The breakthrough came in a rush: Connor Corcoran opened it at 24 minutes off a Mathias From feed, and Jere Vaisanen made it 2-0 in the same minute, assisted by Aarne Talvitie. Lukas Svejkovsky's goal at 30 (Arttu Tuomaala) pushed it to 3-0, and Linus Oberg finished the sequence at 50 off Carter King for 4-0.
TPS found some life late — Lukas Haudum at 51 (Lars Bryggman) and Jeremi Virtanen at 52 (Axel Landen) — but 3-0 after 40 minutes was the number that decided this one. Five different Espoo scorers, five different assists; the Turku push arrived two goals too late.
