Tondela came from behind to beat Amarante FC 2-1 in the Segunda Liga. They fell behind to an early goal but scored twice in the first half to turn the match around.
Melvin Costa put Amarante ahead in the 18th minute. Cascavel levelled for Tondela four minutes later, and João Marcos made it 2-1 right on the stroke of half-time. The second half brought no further goals, though the referee booked seven players.
João Marcos's goal in the 45th minute proved the winner. Tondela's quick response to going behind was the key to the result, and they held on after the break.
