Storhamar Ishockey held on for a 2-1 win over KAC Klagenfurt, built on a goal in each of the first two periods and a third-period hold. The margin never grew beyond two, and it never had to.
Isac Skedung opened the scoring in the seventh minute off a feed from Andreas Hjelm, and Stian Kaltrud Nystuen made it 2-0 at 34 minutes with Skedung assisting. Raphael Herburger pulled KAC within one at 45, set up by Jesper B. Jensen, but the visitors got no closer over the closing stretch.
Skedung was the difference: a goal and an assist, a hand in both Storhamar markers. Klagenfurt's lone period on the scoreboard was the third, by which point they were chasing a two-goal deficit.
