Frolunda HC took a 5-3 win in Hamar, settling it in regulation after a third period they owned 2-0. The visitors had been pulled back level three times, then simply stopped giving anything back.
Patrik Puistola opened it at 12 with Henrik Tommernes assisting, and Austin Cangelosi answered at 17 off Jacob Berglund for 1-1 after 20. The middle frame was a trade: David Aas Larsen at 31, Tommernes at 34, Linus Hogberg at 39, then Amil Krupic at 40 for 3-3 through two. Hogberg's second at 48, again from Filip Cederqvist, was the turning point.
Hogberg was the difference with two goals, both set up by Cederqvist, who finished with two assists. Tommernes contributed a goal and an assist from the back end.
