Tacoma Defiance thrashed Sporting Kansas City II 4-0 in MLS Next Pro. The match was decided inside 19 minutes, as Mark Bronnik, Danny Robles and Xavi Gnaulati all found the net. Matthew Bell added a fourth shortly after the interval.
Bronnik opened the scoring in the 11th minute, converting Rafael Jauregui's assist, and Robles made it 2-0 a minute later via Matthew Bell's pass. Gnaulati added a third in the 19th minute, again from Jauregui, before Bell rounded off the scoring in the 48th minute with Bronnik supplying the assist. Gael Quintero and Danny Robles were booked during the match.
Sporting Kansas City II had more of the ball, with 57% possession and 460 accurate passes, but Tacoma carried the greater threat, recording eight shots on target to five and an expected-goals mark of 1.42 to 0.56. Bell ended the day with a goal and an assist, while Tacoma created two big chances and their goalkeeper made six saves.
