Tacoma Defiance overturned an early deficit to beat Real Monarchs SLC 4-2 on the road. After falling behind inside ten minutes, they responded with four consecutive goals to take control of the match.
Lionel Dijero put Real Monarchs ahead in the 9th minute, but Charlie Gaffney equalised for Tacoma in the 35th. Mark Bronnik then struck twice in quick succession, scoring in the 38th and 50th minutes, and set up Rafael Jauregui for the fourth in the 55th. The hosts pulled one back through Izahi Amparo in the 69th minute but could not mount a full comeback.
Tacoma were ruthlessly clinical despite having only 34% possession and 12 total shots to Real Monarchs' 20. They created four big chances and converted three of them, with Mark Bronnik the standout performer – scoring twice and providing an assist.
