Jagiellonia Białystok beat Śląsk Wrocław 2-1 in Ekstraklasa. Two goals before half-time put them in command, and although Śląsk Wrocław pulled one back, the home side held on.
Kajetan Szmyt put Jagiellonia ahead in the 19th minute after Sergio Lozano provided the assist. Ousmane Sow doubled the lead in the 41st minute, Taras Romanczuk supplying the pass, and Piotr Samiec-Talar made it 2-1 in the 81st minute to set up a tense finish.
Śląsk Wrocław had the better of the numbers: 51% possession, 13 shots to 11 and an expected-goals count of 1.87 to 1.38. Jagiellonia took their chances, scoring from both of their two shots on target, while their goalkeeper made four saves.
