Cercle Brugge rescued a point from a 3-3 draw with Sint-Truidense VV, fighting back from 3-1 down with goals in the 82nd and 90th minutes. The home side's late rally denied the visitors what had looked like a comfortable win after they led inside a minute.
Ryan Merlen put Sint-Truidense ahead inside the opening minute, and Steve Ngoura levelled for Cercle on 28. Merlen restored the visitors' lead with his second goal nine minutes later, and Nelson Ishiwatari made it 3-1 in the 47th. Erick Nunes pulled one back for Cercle on 82 before Krys Kouassi completed the comeback in the 90th.
The numbers underlined Cercle's dominance: they had 27 shots to 13, an expected-goals count of 4.16 to 2.05 and 55% possession, yet needed the final-minute equaliser to take a point. Merlen's brace was the visitors' standout contribution, while Cercle's six big chances told of pressure they only converted into goals late on.
