Inoue turned in Tomoki Kondo's assist to give Yokohama the points, after Ryo Germain had been booked in the 51st minute. Both teams missed a big chance in a goalless first 78 minutes, leaving the late strike to decide the match.
Despite enjoying 61% possession and completing 318 passes to Shimizu's 165, Yokohama could not turn that control into extra shots. The goalkeeper saves tell a similar story: Yokohama's keeper made four saves, Shimizu's two, as a match of few clear opportunities was settled by a single moment.
