Oita Trinita came from behind to draw 1-1 with FC Imabari in J.League 2. Kengo Furuyama put the visitors ahead in the first half, and Matheus Pereira rescued a point for the home side late on.
The match stayed goalless until the 19th minute, when Furuyama struck to make it 0-1. Oita Trinita pressed for an equaliser and finally found it through Pereira in the 85th minute, levelling the score at 1-1.
Kenta Kikuchi was shown a yellow card in the 13th minute, the only booking of the game. With no shot or possession figures recorded, the draw feels a fair reflection of a contest settled by two moments rather than sustained dominance.
