Shandong Taishan won 3-1 against Qingdao Hainiu in the CFA Super League, taking command with two goals inside the opening 12 minutes. Qingdao pulled one back almost immediately, but a second-half strike from Raphaël Merkies settled the contest.
Cryzan opened the scoring in the eighth minute from Valeri Qazaishvili's assist, and Yang Liu doubled the lead four minutes later. Jin Yonghao replied for Qingdao in the 13th minute, with Chuangyi Lin providing the assist, before Merkies made it 3-1 in the 65th minute. Zeca and Senwen Luo were booked late in the first and second halves respectively.
The shot count was level at 19 each, but Shandong created nine big chances to Qingdao's none and missed seven of them, while scoring two of their three goals from big chances. They had 53% possession and registered seven shots on target, compared with Qingdao's five, giving the win a solid foundation despite the wasted opportunities.
