FC Lugano beat Servette FC 1-0 in the Super League, with Albian Ajeti scoring the only goal in the 90th minute. Lugano had much the greater share of the ball, but Servette kept the game tight until the very end.
The match appeared to be heading for a goalless draw until Ajeti scored from Beckham Castro's assist to make it 1-0. Four bookings earlier in the game, for Ahmed Kendouci, Dereck Moncada, Pedro Naressi and Timothe Cognat, had done little to change the pattern of play.
Lugano dominated possession with 66% and had 21 shots to Servette's 10, while also winning 11 corners. Servette's expected-goals figure was higher, though, at 1.81 to Lugano's 1.52, and both goalkeepers made two saves, so Ajeti's late goal proved the decisive margin.
