Salavat Yulaev Ufa skated to a 4-0 regulation win over Avangard Omsk, breaking open a scoreless game with a two-goal second period and capping the night with two more in the third. The visitors found their rhythm after a quiet opening frame and never looked back.
Jack Rodewald opened the scoring in the 33rd minute off Alexander Alexeyev, and Nikita Shcherbakov doubled the lead a minute later with Alexander Zharovsky drawing the assist. Avangard had no answer, and Vadim Shipachyov and Yaroslav Tsulygin both scored in the 57th minute—Zharovsky setting up Shipachyov and Nikita Zorkin helping on Tsulygin's goal—to seal the road victory.
Zharovsky's two assists were the only multi-point line of the afternoon, while four different Salavat scorers accounted for the offense. The 4-0 final underlined a disciplined road performance, with Avangard held off the board from start to finish.
