HC Sochi scored at 1:00, 2:00 and 11:00 to take a 3-1 lead after one, with Admiral's only reply at 10:00. Admiral tied it in the second on goals at 30:00 and 37:00, then went ahead with goals at 45:00 and 46:00 in the early third to make it 5-3.
The decisive stretch came after the first intermission: Admiral outscored Sochi 4-0 over the final two periods and never trailed after pulling even at 3-3. The back-to-back goals in the third put the game away in regulation.
