Gimnasia y Esgrima won 2-1 at Rosario Central, taking the lead midway through the second half and then recovering from a late equaliser to claim the points. Jeremías Ledesma opened the scoring in the 59th minute, and after Rosario had levelled, Ignacio Miramon struck again two minutes later to decide the match.
Ledesma put the visitors ahead just before the hour mark. Rosario Central pushed hard and got their reward through Jaminton Campaz in the 86th minute, with Tomás Badaloni providing the assist, but Miramon restored Gimnasia's lead in the 88th minute with the winner.
Rosario Central dominated the ball with 68% possession and had 14 shots to Gimnasia's 11, but the visitors were far more clinical, scoring with two of their three shots on target. The home side also led the expected-goals count at 0.58 to 0.38 and had more corner kicks, yet Gimnasia's goalkeeper made six saves to keep them ahead. It was an afternoon where Rosario did most of the attacking but came away with nothing.
